The Counter Newport Beach,Ca.

The Counter in Newport Beach, Ca. is doing Burgers justice. A friend suggested that we go there for lunch, saying you wont be let down. We get there around 12:30 and every seat is taken, so we waited only about 5 minutes to be seated. Our server hands us a clipboard with a order form on it, a concept I fealt was brilliant. You first decided on a protein (meat) anything from beef to turkey. Steps 2 & 3 allow you to pick your choice of cheese, and toppings that range from dried cranberries and scallions to black olives and roasted corn. Step 3.5 gives you the option to decide on premium toppings ranging from applewood smoked bacon, to friend eggs. Finally at steps 4 & 5 you decide on sauces from apricot to roasted garlic aioli, or from a multi grain bun or the market selection. A great appetizer pairing with any burger is their roasted vegetable plate, or the can't miss fried dill pickles. When in the Newport Beach, Ca. area, "The Counter" is a can't miss opportunity!!!

Big Lou's Pizza ( San Antonio,Tx.)

 As a huge lifelong pizza fan, I was in heaven when we found Big Lou's Pizza. Around June 2011 I was in the San Antonio area on business, and did a Google search for pizza. When we walked into Big Lou's, it was like walking into pizza heaven. I was with a group of 10 people, and we bravely decided on the 42" Pepperoni and cheese pizza. This pizza was carried out to our table by 2, yes 2 people to our table, and was enormous. Between the drinks and the bread sticks, finishing this pizza was going to be a challenge. I want to thank the staff at Big Lou's Pizza for exceptional service, and amazing food. If in the san antonio area and you like pizza, Big Lou's Pizza is a can't miss!!!
